Liverpool had to wait 54 minutes for the first goal. Portuguese midfielder Thiago Alcantara’s great pass from midfield gave the ball to the Portuguese forward shoe into the D-box with a corner kick.
6 minutes later, Firmino found the address of the net in a low shot, taking advantage of the mistake of Arsenal’s defenders. These two goals ensured the victory of Liverpool.
After this victory, Liverpool is at number two with 69 points in 29 matches. Top-ranked Man City have amassed 60 points from 29 matches. On the other hand, Arsenal is at number four with 51 points in 26 matches.
