New Zealand’s big win in Taylor’s farewell match

Before announcing his departure, he played the last Test of his career against Bangladesh in January. The wait was over for him to officially retire from international cricket. New Zealand star cricketer Ross Taylor took that in the last match of the series against the Netherlands.

New Zealand won by a huge margin of 115 runs in Taylor’s farewell international match on Monday. Will Young and Martin Guptill’s centuries at the Sedan Park in Hamilton helped the Kiwis score 333 runs. In reply, the Netherlands were all out for 216 runs. Taylor made 14 runs in his last match.

The right-handed middle-order batsman has scored 16,199 runs at an average of 42.62 in 93 fifties and 40 centuries in his 450-match international career. Taylor’s world record of 790 runs at number four in ODI cricket. No one else could run more than him in this position.

Although he did not score a run in the last match of his career, Taylor was able to say goodbye to the rest of the team by winning. Young and Guptill scored centuries in the first innings of the match. Young made 120 in his second century in the series. 107 runs came from Guptill’s bat.

Later, Matt Henry did the job of crushing the Netherlands with the ball. He took 4 wickets for 36 runs. Stephen Maiberg, the outgoing player, scored the highest 74 runs for the Netherlands. It is noteworthy that the last catch of the Dutch was caught by the outgoing player Ross Taylor.
