Musharraf’s Monarch Mart paid 15 lakh rupees for Musharraf’s treatment

Former national team cricketer Mosharraf Hossain Rubel has fallen seriously ill and is undergoing treatment in the ICU of Square Hospital. He has been in the ICU since March 14 on the advice of doctors.

Monarch Mart, the e-commerce company of Shakib Al Hasan, has been standing by Musharraf Rubel, who has been suffering from brain tumor since 2019. The company handed over Rs 1.5 million to his wife at the Motijheel City Center office for Rubel’s treatment on Sunday (March 26) afternoon.

After receiving the check, Rubel’s wife, Chaiti Farhana Rupa, said in an emotional voice, “We had a good push for the savings we had after the last surgery. Shakib Bhai and Monarch Mart have stood by us in such difficult times. That is why I thank them so much. We are really grateful to you. ”

‘The ruble, of course, can’t say much right now. However, he is very happy that his teammate Shakib is standing by his side. Shakib Bhai has inquired about us before. They are by our side in such difficult times, that is a lot for us. We are actually going through a time of uncertainty. At such times, when the big people, friends, teammates are on the side, the courage increases a lot, ‘he added.

Although Rubel could not speak properly, he sat in the hospital cabin and watched all the matches of Bangladesh against South Africa. That is what his wife said, ‘After taking him to the cabin, he watched all the matches in Bangladesh. It was interesting to see how happy he was after winning Bangladesh. He is supporting Bangladesh even while lying in bed. ‘

Rubel was diagnosed with a brain tumor in March 2019. He was recovering after a year and a half of treatment. But after an MRI in the last week of January 2021, it was found that the old tumor was growing again. Since then, chemotherapy has started again. In all, he has taken 24 chemotherapy treatments. He received his last chemotherapy on October 11 at United Hospital.

She underwent successful surgery on March 19, 2019 at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore under the supervision of neurosurgeon Elvin Hong. Then he returned to the country. But for chemo and radiotherapy, he had to stay in Singapore regularly. The last chemo was given in December of that year. He was in follow-up for one year. He was preparing to return to the field in 2020, healthy and normal. But when he got sick again in November, he broke down. Started taking chemo again from January.

Mosharraf Hossain Rubel made his national team debut in 2006. He took 1 wicket in three ODIs against South Africa on home soil. He was dropped from the team very quickly. The team then took him on a tour of Sri Lanka in 2013. Not getting a chance to play any match, he was dropped again.

Chandika Hathurusinghe took him to the team in the 2016 Afghanistan series. After eight years, he took 3 wickets in the national team jersey. He also played a big role in winning the team. But Rubel was dropped from the national team again as he did not get a wicket in the next match. As a result, his career stopped there.

It is to be mentioned that Mosharraf Hossain Rubel has regularly played for Walton Central Zone in Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL). He has been instrumental in helping Walton win the BCL title twice.
