Losing to Liverpool in the quarter-finals

Liverpool could not avoid defeat at home despite getting one less time in the opposing team. Inter Milan won 1-0. But being behind in the first leg, the victory only increased the regret of the Italian club.

Liverpool reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League after losing 1-0 in the return leg of the last 16 at Anfield on Tuesday night. After winning 2-0 in the first leg, Jurgen Klopp’s team advanced to the next step with a 2-1 lead in the two legs.

Liverpool tasted defeat after almost a year at home. The last time they lost was to Fulham on March 6 last year. After that 26 consecutive matches were unbeaten.
